The Jacob Corder Band is a four-piece rock band from Fort Worth, Texas, drawing heavily from the sound and attitude of 1970s rock. Built around live performance, the band focuses on feel, space, and dynamics that only happen on stage.
The project began with Jacob Corder and James Kingrea, who first crossed paths during a high school Battle of the Bands — though Jacob Corder wasn’t even in high school at the time. Still in grade school, Jacob Corder competed against older students and ultimately lost to James Kingrea. Years later, the two reconnected and formed a band under the name Corder King. As the direction sharpened and the identity became clearer, the band evolved into The Jacob Corder Band.
Fronted by Jacob Corder on lead vocals and lead guitar, the group leans into a loose, jam-forward approach without losing structure. Extended sections, expressive guitar work, and dynamic shifts are part of the show — but always grounded in the song. The result is a live set that feels alive, intentional, and built for the room.
Based in Fort Worth, The Jacob Corder Band plays anywhere that values real instruments and real performance — from local bars to larger venues — carrying forward a sound rooted in classic rock and delivered with conviction.
